About Maha Rudra Yagna

Maha Rudra Yagna is a Fire Ritual (Homa) praying to Highest God in Universe,
Lord Shiva for Peace and Prosperity of all beings in all the worlds. Lord Shiva is
known as Bishamonten or Daikokuten in Japan. The ritual includes Japam
(repeating God’s Name), Homa (Fire ritual), Abhishekam (pouring
purifying water, milk, and other sacred liquid).
‘Japanga Rudra’ is repeated chanting of Namaka and Camaka. ‘Abhishekanga
Rudra’ is done with offering liquids such milk, ghee, water, etc. to the ‘lingam’
with repeated chanting of Namaka and Camaka. ‘Homanga Rudra’ is offering
ghee and other materials into the sacred fire while chanting Namaka nad
Camaka.
At Maha Rudra Yagna, there are three Homa Kunda (sacred fire place).
Eleven Priests and Chanters sit by the Kunda and Reciting first to eleventh
chapters of Namakam and one chapter of Chamakam for eleven times a day.
And this continues four days.

This Yagna is not merely for a few individuals, it is for the entire world. The Mantra chanted here have mixed with in the air and spread to the entire universe. These sacred sounds entered our hearts and purified them.”
